474 race kilometres in 4 very ultra weekends

Hi, this is Roger from Hoka in Australia. I’m taking on an extreme running challenge starting this weekend at Great Ocean Walk. It’s not going to be fast, it’s not going to be pretty, but it’s definitely going to get interesting.

HI, glad to hear that your recovery from your accident seems to be coming on great.Have a great month of running, there isn’t another brand to compete with you though plenty are trying to copy (and get their market share – booo). I am sure these events will bring out the best and the beast ion you, this is the only time I wouldn’t like to be in your shoes!

The joy of accidents – I think your typo has invented The Beast Ion, Martin :) It’s surely that particle we’re all out there looking for, and occasionally we find it. Thanks for your best wishes.
And yes, there are a number of shoes coming out next year that look (and sound) a lot like Hoka. Check out this very handy interview RunBlogRun did with Hoka OneOne Brand Prez Jim Van Dine – http://www.runblogrun.com/2013/10/runblogrun-interviews-jim-van-dine-brand-president-of-hoka-one-one-by-larry-eder.html
There’s no need for further confirmation on the proof of concept, thousands of happy Hoka OneOne runners and triathletes and trailrunners and ultrarunners all raving about what Hoka has done for them. So imitation is just a substitute for flattery :) but they’re still not gonna be Hoka ;)
